Whenever we hear clean energy the first thing that comes to our mind is, the sun. Sun, the source of abundant light and heat energy, can be harnessed and used in a wide range of applications on Earth and also on artificial satellites and rovers launched into space. A large amount of solar light energy that Earth receives is several times larger than the energy consumption on Earth. A total capacity of 9.01 Giga Watts power is alone generated through solar energy, which does not level up to even 1 percent of the total power consumed. Various technologies have been developed to harness the solar energy but are limited due to the high cost, geography, time variation and land availability.

In recent times, various countries are investing a large number of funds and infrastructure to utilize the abundant solar energy available. Countries like China, the USA, Germany and many other counties are leading in producing solar power. India, a tropical country with the highest human resource available, is gradually catching up with the pace to produce renewable energy. While 1200 square feet of the normal solar panel could produce 2 Kilo Volt of power, the new NANO panel of an A4 size could produce 3 Kilo Volt of power. While the other panels could resist up to 80-100 Degrees of heat, Praveen’s panel could resist up to 1000 degrees of heat. While one cell of a normal panel could produce 1 Watt of power, this new solar panel could produce 24 Watts of power from one photovoltaic cell. An hour of sunlight absorption can produce electricity for 12 hours. With the support of a battery, one hour of sunlight is enough to provide electricity for a whole day.

All in all, Light Energy is on its way to reaching our hospitals, hotels, colleges and factories to save our money and make our planet greener by reducing the burning of fossil fuels.
